Guns N’ Roses Guitarist Slash’s Stepdaughter’s Cause Of Death Has Been Revealed

Slash’s stepdaughter Lucy-Bleu Knight passed away at the young age of 25, with the Guns N’ Roses star sharing the news of his beloved one’s death on Instagram. Now the cause of Knight’s death has been revealed.

According to reports, Knight died at a private residence. She was found unresponsive in the home on July 19 by law enforcement conducting a welfare check. An examination was performed by a deputy medical examiner on July 22 and the cause of death was certified on August 29, the coroner’s office told The NY Post.

Knight’s cause of death was initially deferred as additional testing was required, but now all has been revealed.

The Post can exclusively report that the 25-year-old died from hydrogen sulfide toxicity, while the manner of her death is a suicide, confirmed by the Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s Office.

There were suspicions that Knight had taken her own life as she posted a final Instagram selfie with a message three hours after the Guns N’ Roses guitarist, 58, announced his stepdaughter’s death on that Sunday evening.

Hydrogen sulfide is a poisonous, flammable gas that can be toxic to humans. Symptoms of acute exposure to the gas can include nausea, headaches, delirium, and convulsions, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website, while high exposure can cause rapid unconsciousness and death.

Knight was the daughter of Slash’s longtime partner, Meegan Hodges, and her ex, Mark Knight. Slash first dated Hodges in 1989 and then rekindled their relationship in 2015.

Slash asked for “privacy” and that “social media speculation be kept to a minimum” as he and his family “grieve and process this devastating loss” of Knight, who he described as “an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming, lovable, sweet soul.”

Hours before announcing the news of Knight’s death, Slash cancelled several dates for his S.E.R.P.E.N.T. blues music tour, citing “unforeseen circumstances.” Shows from July 22 to July 27 were affected, and ticket holders were guaranteed refunds.

“We love our fans and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused,” Slash added in his statement.

One day after Knight’s cryptic post went up, her mom Hodges commented on the post “MY BABY GIRL 🕊️🤍 I LOVE YOU WITH EVERYTHING. I’M SO SORRY.” Shortly after, Slash’s son, London, from his marriage to his ex Perla Ferrar, paid tribute to Knight in an Instagram post of his own.
