Unpleasant scenes unfolded at FNB Stadium as some fans stormed the pitch, upset with the referee’s decisions during the match while Sundowns ran riot over the Chiefs.

Others in the stands threw bottles at stewards and police officers.

The police have warned football fans to refrain from criminal behavior in stadiums.

“The police want to caution spectators that pitch invasion is a criminal offense, and those who continue to commit such acts will be arrested.

“The police will continue to deploy members of criminal intelligence to detect those who attend stadiums with ulterior motives,” Masondo remarked.

It remains unclear how the judicial proceedings transpired for the two alleged pitch invaders, but the two accused of selling fake tickets are expected to appear in Booysens Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
