Bruce Dickinson reveals his band line-up for 2024 tour

He announced the UK leg on Monday

Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson has announced the four musicians he’s taking with him on the world tour supporting his upcoming solo album ‘The Mandrake Project.’

After previously announcing spring dates in Brazil and Mexico, Bruce Dickinson announced the European leg earlier today (6th November), which opens with UK shows in Glasgow, Manchester, Swansea, Nottingham and London in May 2024.

Alongside the tour announce, Bruce has revealed the musicians who will be joining him on the global trek.

Unsurprisingly, joining Bruce on lead guitar will be his long-time musical collaborator and producer Roy Z, who recorded The Mandrake Project’ album.

Roy Z – real name Roy Ramirez – played guitar on Dickinson’s 1994 album ‘Balls to Picasso’ before producing, co-writing and performing multiple instruments on his previous three solo albums, ‘Accident at Birth’ (1997), ‘The Chemical Wedding’ (1998) and ‘Tyranny of Souls’ (2005).

Playing bass on the tour will be Irish musician Tanya O’Callaghan who joined Whitesnake in 2021 and hit the road with David Coverdale and co. the following year.

Tanya O’Callaghan has previously performed with an array of musicians including Steven Adler, Dee Snider, Maynard James Keenan, Nuno Bettencourt, Michael Angelo Batio and Orianthi.

Also in Bruce’s band is Californian drummer Dave Moreno, who played on Bruce Dickinson’s ‘Tyranny of Souls’ album. He has also worked with the likes of Body Count, Jizzy Pearl, Dizzy Reed and Steve Stevens to name but a few.

Completing the line-up is Italian keyboard wizard Mistheria. He has collaborated with an array of artists live and in the studio including Rob Rock, Mike Portnoy, Jeff Scott Soto and Joel Hoekstra.

Commenting on ‘The Mandrake Project’ and the accompanying tour, Bruce Dickinson said: “This album has been a very personal journey for me and I am extremely proud of it. Roy Z and I have been planning, writing and recording it for years, and I am very excited for people to finally hear it.

“I’m even more excited at the prospect of getting out on the road with this amazing band that we have put together, to be able to bring it to life. As you can see, we’re playing as many shows as we can, in as many places as possible, for as many people as we can!”
