Landon Jackson injury update: Arkansas football DE released from hospital
Arkansas football defensive lineman Landon Jackson has been released from a local hospital and was able to join his teammates in the locker room after Saturday’s 28-21 loss to Missouri, according to head coach Sam Pittman.
Jackson left the game with an injury late in the second quarter in what might be the final game of his career with the Razorbacks. He laid on the turf face-down for a long time after a short run by the Tigers. He eventually rolled over, but he had to be stretchered off the field. The training staff was tending to his upper body and the head-and-neck region.
All of his teammates left the sideline and came onto the field to offer their support as the delay lasted nearly 12 minutes. Jackson gave a thumbs up as he was stretchered into an ambulance.
The game was tied 7-7 when Jackson exited.
Jackson has been the Hogs’ best player all season after opting to return for his senior season. He will likely be selected in the first or second round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Arkansas will play in a bowl game later this year, but Jackson’s status for that is uncertain.
Jackson had five tackles on the afternoon. He leads Arkansas this season with 6.5 sacks.
